At Dragon Insulation our spray foam insulation is designed to provide an unparalleled R-Value, creating a superior barrier against extreme temperatures. This is not just about making your home or office more comfortable during the fiery breath of summer or the icy grasp of winter – it’s about defending your home against the climatic extremes, providing impactful energy savings, and contributing to a more sustainable future.
The Benefits of Spray Foam Insulation
Increased Energy Efficiency
Installing spray foam insulation will immediately increase your home’s energy efficiency. You’ll also save money on HVAC repairs and maintenance as the insulation will reduce the amount of work your unit has to do to keep your home comfortable during hot summers and cold winters.
Formulated For Your Climate
Spray foam insulation can be specially formulated for more air sealing or greater breathability, allowing it to provide a superior R-Value or better moisture management. Your local Dragon Insulation provider uses a specially formulated spray foam that is best suited for your region.
More Comfortable Living Spaces
Under insulated homes result in uncomfortable temperature fluctuations, unpleasant draughts, and perennially high energy costs. If you’re tired of never being able to get comfortable, then your next home improvement project should be insulating your home!

Spray Foam Insulation FAQs
What does R-Value Mean?
R-Value is a number used to describe a material’s resistance to the flow of heat. The higher the r-value of the insulation, the less heat loss or heat gain a space will experience.
How long does insulation last?
Spray foam is incredibly long lasting, easily providing a service life of 30 years.
What is spray foam?
Originally developed in the 1930s, spray foam results from mixing isocyanate with a resin. This combination creates what is known as a polyurethane foam, and was quickly discovered to be a powerful insulator.
We refer to the product as ‘spray foam’ because of its method of application. The mixture is literally sprayed out of a device that resembles a paint gun, and the product then expands in place. This expansion property makes spray foam great for sealing air leaks and for filling wall cavities.
What is the right amount of insulation for my home?
The minimum amount of insulation appropriate for your home depends on where you live. Greater insulation values are recommended for colder climates, while regions with milder winters typically require lower values.
Do I need open-cell spray foam insulation or closed-cell spray foam insulation?
One of the major benefits of spray foam insulation is that since we manufacture the foam at the time of installation, we can calibrate it to your needs. While a home in colder, drier climates may benefit from the airtight seal and high r-value of closed-cell foam, that same foam might create too effective an air barrier in a humid environment. Instead, the slow air leakage of an open-cell foam insulation may be a better choice.
Your local Dragon Insulation provider will be able to provide you with more detail about what sort of insulation is best suited for your area.
Where can I apply spray foam?
In new construction and renovations, it is not uncommon to see spray foam used anywhere that traditional insulation is applied! From attic insulation to crawl spaces, spray foam is extremely versatile.
Application after construction is slightly more limited as access becomes an issue. However, spray foam insulation is still a great option for attics, crawl spaces, and any unfinished exterior walls.
Additionally, spray foam insulation is a great option for metal sheds, barns, or other outdoor facilities. Unlike fiberglass insulation or cellulose batts, spray foam adheres directly to the surface – this means homeowners don’t have to worry about a lack of joists!
